Springfield,Oregon.. June 2 through June 11, 2011!

This is not my first mission trip by far, but this is the mission trip that I was most nervous about. My mom and dad didn't come with me, and it's the longest I've ever been away from home with out them and also the farthest I've ever been away from home ever. The group I'm with is called Builders for Christ. What e do is go around the country and build worship centers for churches who can't afford hired help. We have all kinds of people with us. But we all have one thing in common.. We are all on fire for the Lord and we are all here for Him, not for personal gain or pleasure. We have people from about 8 different churches.. My dad is the pastor at Richburg, where most of us are from. Harold and Maxine Hartfield, Warren and Faye Atkins, Daryl and Betty Ellis, Reggie Ford and his grandson Orrin Ford, Leslie Hill, and I are from Richburg Baptist.. Jeremy and Cassie Williamson and JT, Danny Williamson are from Temple Baptist Church.. Charles Harrington is from Crosspoint Baptist, Bernell and Julia Vercher go to Parkview Baptist, Charles and Vera Jornes, Francis Herrin and his brother Tommy Herrin go to Calvery Baptist.. Arthur Herin goes to Carterville Baptist.. Will Lambert goes to Central Baptist.. Al Harrington, Guy Aycock, and Heath Carter go to First Baptist Lumberton.. James Thompsom goes to Beaumont Baptist.. All 30ish of us are from all over Hattiesburg, we are all in Oregon, and we are all here for one reason.. Its maxing what God has done in just this week and two days! Our team is great! Our guys work hard and they are serious about what they do. They have pretty much finished hanging all of the Sheetrock in the whole building and are helping the next team prepare to start work. Two of our guys took me up in the sissor lift, Mr. Will and Heath. It was so much fun!! This was my first time ever to fly and the guys that sat next to me made fun of me:( lol but it's ok, because I made it out alive and that's all that matters!! We have had two devotions every day, one after lunch and one after dinner.. They have all been awesome!!! I have met some men and a woman that are really on fire for God, and I have become really close to them. It has amazed me how quickly and efficiently our guys have worked!!!! I have made new friends, and become closer to people I already knew. In all, there is not one bad thing I could think of to say about this trip!! I really hope nd pray that God allows me to come again next year!

these four,

I know I haven't been posting in a while.. that is because my computer is annal and doesn't work unless it is plugged in just right.. and if you know me, you know that I don' have the patience for that..

I have decided that I am not going to be one of those professional bloggers. I am going to tell you straight up what is going on in my life.

So this is my spring break... and my sister-in-law is here. that's about it. hahaha, just kidding.

My best friend, Leah is in Disney World and i miss her a loooooot. She has really been my rock ever since i moved to Hattiesburg. Don't get me wrong, Hattiesburg is fine.. it's just that some of the people at Oak Grove have welcoming issues.. and if you are not one of the ones who was born and bread in Oak Grove then you are not exactly wanted. Me and Leah are like the same person. It's really weird and unexplainable. You just gonna have to trust me. Leah has been with me through everything.. good and bed, she's always there. :)

I definetaly am going to have to write about a girl who is my role model for sure. (Claire).. I have known her ever since I can remember. She is one of the Godliest girls I know, but she also knows ow to have fun. I strive to be like two people in life.. Jesus and Claire. haha. If I ever need serious advise, Claire is the one who I call :)

I really have to mention my sisters. Jansen and Jessica. As much as we fight and don't get along sometimes, I love them both, and I'm very thankful for them. I am so glad that I got to see Jess this week. :)

ok, so now that you've met the two most important people in my life, I guess we can talk about.... somethin else that idk yet.. haha.
I know this was a REALLY short blog, but i just really wanted to tell everyone exactly what I think of these girls :)
Leah, Claire, Jan, and Jess, I love you girls and I am so glad God decided to put me with y'all!!,

You never know what you're gonna get

"Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."

18 months ago, my life changed. Both for the better and for the worse. Now, I am going to take you through my life, good, bad, and everything in between. When I was born,  my dad was pastor at Riverview Baptist Church. My life in Alexandria was amazing. I had my whole life until college planned out by the time I was 10 years old. I went to Phoenix Magnet Elementary for grades K-5, I went to Alexandria Junior High for grades 6-8, and I was going to go to Pineville High School with all of my friends, following in the footsteps that my talented brother and sister set for me. However, God had different plans.

We moved to Hattiesburg, Mississippi one day before school started the first semester of my freshman year of high school. I didn't go to Pineville with all my friends, I went to Oak Grove High, where I was going to have to make brand new friends. I walked into the front door of the school for the first time and I was as nervous as a long-tailed cat in a  room full of rocking chairs. If you know me, you'd think that I wouldn't have any problems making friends, but that's not so. I didn't say a word at all at school for the first 3 or 4 weeks. Once i made that first friend, the rest was pretty easy. Of course, I don't have near as many friends here as i did in Alexandria, but it's OK because at this point I am happy to have any friends.

Last, the most difficult part of moving from Alexandria to Hattiesburg has been leaving my friends. Like I said before, I am happy for the friends that I have, but I sure wish that the people that i have know since Kindergarten and 1st grade were here. They would make my life even better than it is right now.:)

OK, so that was my very first blog, hope you liked it. I'm new at this:)
