You never know what you're gonna get

"Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."

18 months ago, my life changed. Both for the better and for the worse. Now, I am going to take you through my life, good, bad, and everything in between. When I was born,  my dad was pastor at Riverview Baptist Church. My life in Alexandria was amazing. I had my whole life until college planned out by the time I was 10 years old. I went to Phoenix Magnet Elementary for grades K-5, I went to Alexandria Junior High for grades 6-8, and I was going to go to Pineville High School with all of my friends, following in the footsteps that my talented brother and sister set for me. However, God had different plans.

We moved to Hattiesburg, Mississippi one day before school started the first semester of my freshman year of high school. I didn't go to Pineville with all my friends, I went to Oak Grove High, where I was going to have to make brand new friends. I walked into the front door of the school for the first time and I was as nervous as a long-tailed cat in a  room full of rocking chairs. If you know me, you'd think that I wouldn't have any problems making friends, but that's not so. I didn't say a word at all at school for the first 3 or 4 weeks. Once i made that first friend, the rest was pretty easy. Of course, I don't have near as many friends here as i did in Alexandria, but it's OK because at this point I am happy to have any friends.

Last, the most difficult part of moving from Alexandria to Hattiesburg has been leaving my friends. Like I said before, I am happy for the friends that I have, but I sure wish that the people that i have know since Kindergarten and 1st grade were here. They would make my life even better than it is right now.:)

OK, so that was my very first blog, hope you liked it. I'm new at this:)
